This webpage is about PCOS.
I am 26 years old, and live near Montreal Quebec (Canada for the people that don't know where Montreal is). I have been with my boyfriend for 7 years now (we got engaged May 2003 in Curacao). We are thinking of getting married in 2005. We have been trying to have a baby for almost 3 years now, and last September 2003 I was diagnosed with PSOC (Polycystic ovary syndrome), which causes fertility problems. So now we are looking at different ways of trying conceiving. Which so far it has not been very fun. But we are trying to stay positive about all of this. It was hard when I found out I was the problem (I know it is not me that causes it, but I am the one with the problem). And as the time goes by, other couples we know are telling us they are having a baby. Just last month I started thinking "This is not far, we are the ones trying they aren't. Why can't we have a baby?"

We have been told: give it time it will happen, don't worry God will give you a baby when you are ready, and on and on. Well I hate to be the bad person here, but I am sick of hear all of that crap! I have looked at things all different ways, and I can see what needs to be tried. Now is there someone out there that has they want to hand over?? Cause that is what it will cost to try a procedure called IVM (In-Vetro Maturation). It is like IVF but they mature the in the laboratory first. Since the Canadian Government helps out with ALMOST everything BUT infertility treatments, we are left with the full bill, and that does not mean it will work.
